• Fabulous Children's Work

In recognising the unique talent which every child has, The After-School Learning Centre strives to bring out the very best in each child’s ability. It is hoped you enjoy reviewing the display of some of the excellent English, Maths and Science work produced by Primary and Secondary children of all ages. It is a real confidence booster for the children to see their hard work recognised by being displayed online. When your child starts learning at The After-School Learning Centre we welcome displaying their work too!

Katelyn, Year 1

Katelyn, Year 1

Two amazing pieces of work!

Luca, Year 3

Luca, Year 3

An excellent graph involving coordinates, learning to draw to scale and understanding the concept of how to use the x and y axis.

Simona, Year 1

Simona, Year 1

Simona started attending when she was in Reception and she quickly learnt all her phonics sounds and now she knows how to write sentences and poems. An insightful and thoughtful poem from Simona. Simona’s hand writing is beautifully formed and mature for a Year 1 child with signs of beginning to learn how to do joined up writing. Notice the flicks at the end of each letter, otherwise known as cursive writing.

Kazim, Year 4

Kazim, Year 4

Kazim is an able boy working on Year 5 English tasks despite still only in Year 4. Kazim is a perfect example of a child capable of being challenged above and beyond the constraints of his actual school year group. The work illustrated involves answers to comprehension questions. A cornerstone of how we teach is to help pupils to learn from their mistakes before moving onto new tasks. So, note the way the teacher has asked Kazim to review and improve two answers to an otherwise excellent piece of work.
